A Better you
“I want to change.” “Becoming a better person is really what I want.” There are a lot of people who really want to change the way they are in order to become a better person and feel comfortable with themselves. Beginning with this process can be very hard and a lot of people don’t understand where they need to start. In this post, I hope to get you motivated to start this process.
We first make our habits, and then our habits make us
Habits are something you don’t want to underestimate when it comes to becoming a better version of yourself. We as humans have a lot of habits. Sometimes we are not aware of all our habits. We do not realize that habits are so important. If you want to be a better version of yourself, you need to develop some better habits.
If you want to become a better version of yourself, you really need to develop some new habits which will make you a better person each day. The way to start this process is by prioritizing things. Being able to know what is more important than other things is the beginning of prioritizing. Spend some more times on the things that are more important for you than anything else.
Everybody, including myself, have some bad habits. If you want to be a better version of yourself, you need to be able to filter out these bad habits. Get rid of these habits. They will only harm you and that is not something you want. What really helps is, writing these habits down in your journal or on a piece of paper.
Once you have seen what your bad habits are, then it is time to replace these habits with good habits. Habits that will make you a better person. That is what you want to do, you want to be able to get rid of all the negative things in life and your bad habits are a part of that.
Goals. These are things that really will give your life meaning and that is something that will improve your life. Take a moment and really start thinking about what you want. Not only for your personal life, but also for your career or even for your own development as a person.
Having goals is good, but you need to have a plan on how you want to achieve these goals. Create a plan for yourself and try to stick to this plan.
If you really want to become a better version of yourself, you really need to have some plans for the future. This is what most people do wrong in their own lives and this could be the reason for never being able to change. Remember this, your goals will define who you will become. It is as simple as this. If you have no goals in life, you will always stay the same every year.
Give meaning to your life and start setting some big goals or goal. Really work for them and create a plan for how you want to achieve these goals or goal.
I think that personal development is really the start of everything. If you want to change yourself in order to become a better person, you need to have the ability to reflect on yourself. Not only reflecting on yourself but also being able to know who you really are.
Life is something very mysterious. The meaning of life is just becoming a better version of yourself every single day. I always say: “If you want to change to become a better you, you need to change you”. Easy to remember right?
Life is way too short. In order to make the most out of it, we need to be able to become the best version we can become. This is actually crucial when it comes to success.
Keep on reflecting on yourself. Ask for feedback from your friends if you can’t do it on your own. Let your pride on one side and really listen to the feedback. Most importantly, do something with the feedback.
Keep trying new stuff
Having a boring life? Do you have a life where you are just too scared to try new things? Well, I can tell you that you are not the only one. There are so many people who really want to change, but yet they are just too scared to try it. I can tell you that these people will never become a better version of themselves.
If you are scared to try something, but you really want it, you got to do it. It is as simple as that. Keep getting out of your comfort zone. Find out new talents and you will see how you will keep changing and developing yourself to a whole new person.
Don’t let anybody tell you what you can and can’t do. This is also one of the reasons why people are afraid of trying new things. Everybody has his/her own life, so who are they to criticize you? Keep developing yourself by trying new things and you will see that you will become a better person.
Keep learning new skills. Shape yourself into the person you want to become. This can only be achieved by trying new things.
“I will do it tomorrow … next day …… Maybe tomorrow is better. Yes, I will do it tomorrow.” This is a serious problem for so many people. I had this same problem for a long time too. It really bothered me. It started to annoy me and I can tell you that I could not plan things in my life. I was living in one big mess.
Procrastination will never benefit you. It will make you a bad planner. If you can’t plan your days, you won’t have more time for the things that really matter, you will keep working on small things which you don’t like and things that will not bring you closer to your goal.
I see this as a bad habit and we just learned that we need to kick bad habits out. If you really have something important to do, never let this thing be the last thing you do on your day. Always try to finish the things which are the most important and do the things that are less important later when you are done with the more important things.
Developing some good habits is so important when it comes to becoming a better version of yourself. Keep the bad habits out.
Being able to know what you want to become in life is crucial not only will it shape who you are going to become, but it will also be a guideline for yourself. Plan how you want to achieve these goals.
